Meet Our founder

Olajide Olayiwola Olayemi

RN | ACIPM | MBA

My name is Olajide Olayiwola Olayemi, but I prefer to go by Ola for simplicity and ease of pronunciation, especially outside Nigeria. In my culture, Ola signifies wealth, and I’m proud to have it at the forefront of my name.

I have an insatiable curiosity and a penchant for challenging established narratives. When I’m not delving into thought-provoking discussions, you can find me immersed in good music, exploring sports, browsing the internet, traveling to new places, or sharing knowledge through teaching.

With a background in Business Administration, including a degree from Lagos State University and an MBA from Ladoke Akintola University in Nigeria, my career took a dramatic turn when my family and I relocated to Australia in 2014. Embracing this change, I pursued a Bachelor of Nursing and discovered my passion for geriatric care, particularly in the realm of dementia.

I completed my Masters in Dementia studies at the prestigious University of Hulls in the UK, I advocate passionately for person-centred care, striving to empower individuals living with diseases or disabilities to lead meaningful lives.

In my professional journey, I’ve had the privilege of working with top healthcare institutions in Australia, specialising as a wound care specialist, championing Memory Care Neighbourhood, managing Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia through psychosocial strategies and providing palliative care. Before this, I gained invaluable experience as an assistant nurse at various hospitals across Sydney.

Beyond healthcare, my commitment to advocacy extends to children and young people under the care of the minister, where I serve as a Youth Support Worker, focusing on Intensive Therapeutic Transitional Care (ITTC).

Before transitioning to healthcare, I honed my skills in procurement with Procter & Gamble Nigeria, one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies, and served as a Facility Coordinator with Jones Lang LaSalle JLL in Nigeria. These diverse experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded professional dedicated to making a positive impact in people’s lives, regardless of the sector.
